Mama Alfa’s built its name the slow way: pasta cooked to order, pizza that isn’t heavy or greasy, and a Caesar dressing made from a house recipe. Customers who moved away still write about it years later.
The restaurant was run for years by Mama Alfa and Ralph. New owners have since taken over the kitchen — with the original recipes — and regulars say the plates still come out the way they remember them.
The room is small, clean and unapologetically old-school: a handful of tables, wood panelling and a counter for takeout. Most orders leave in a box — call ahead, especially on weekends and game nights.
