Local authorities in Thunder Bay report that The Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario (FedNor) is dedicating $39 million to support northern Ontario communities in building, repairing and upgrading local facilities.
The money comes from the federal government’s $51 billion Build Communities Strong Fund, aimed at supporting infrastructure projects. The $39 million for the Local Impact stream will roll out over four years and was proclaimed at the Canada Games Complex in Thunder Bay by Thunder Bay-Superior North MP Patty Hajdu.
