The Thunder Bay community is buzzing following recent reports about fednor money to help more med students practice across the north, a development that has prompted reactions from local officials and residents.
The economic development agency announced just under $2 million to establish and improve “training facilities” in municipalities and First Nations in northern Ontario.
Officials have acknowledged public interest and indicated that further announcements may be forthcoming. Community organizations are planning informational sessions to help residents understand the full scope of the matter.
