Thunder Bay Regional Hospital led local Sunshine List entries with over 1,000 employees, including CEO Rhonda Crocker Elott at $494,000 and Janet Deill at $386,000. The City of Thunder Bay had over 750 employees on the list, with Police Chief Darcy Fleury earning $318,000 and City Manager John Colin at $237,000. Traffic Sergeant Justin Deuke made $277,000 and former Fire Chief Dave Paxton earned $218,000 before retirement. EMS Chief Shane Mir rounded out the municipal leadership at $174,000. The Sunshine List covers public sector workers across education, healthcare, and municipal sectors throughout Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario.
