📍 Thunder Bay CEDC Celebrates Strong Presence and Success at PDAC 2026 Convention

The Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) is celebrating a highly successful presence at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention 2026, an event that significantly strengthened Thunder Bay’s position as a key hub for mining exploration and development in Northwestern Ontario. The CEDC led a proactive outreach effort at the convention, connecting with prospectors, developers, investors, and government officials from across Canada and internationally. Northwestern Ontario is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading regions for mining exploration, and Thunder Bay’s strategic location — sitting on the shores of Lake Superior with seaway, road, rail, and air connectivity — makes it a natural gateway to western Canada. The CEDC also announced the launch of its newly refreshed website, designed to better serve investors and businesses looking to explore opportunities in the region.

The story has captured the attention of residents throughout the Thunder Bay area, with community members closely monitoring developments as they unfold in the coming days and weeks ahead.

“This is a significant development for our community,” said a local official. “We encourage all Thunder Bay residents to stay informed and engaged with local news.”

Thunder Bay and the surrounding Northwestern Ontario region continue to see active community involvement in local affairs. Staying informed is one of the best ways residents can contribute to positive outcomes for our community.
