Local authorities in Thunder Bay report that Thunder Bay, Ont.— A 26-year-old the regional capital man has been charged with assault with a weapon following a law enforcement inquiry into a reported stabbing at a Cumberland Street-area business earlier this month.

Thunder Bay Officers Service says the victim was taken to health-care facility with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The accused later turned himself in to officers and has since been released from custody pending a future court appearance. 2 following a report of a stabbing. Law enforcement say officers located an injured person at the scene. The victim was transported to a Thunder Bay health-care facility for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect had left before officers arrived.

Factors such as the type and use of the alleged weapon, injuries, criminal record and other aggravating or mitigating circumstances can affect sentencing following a conviction. Authorities have not released further details about what allegedly occurred inside or near the business, including the type of weapon allegedly involved. The charge against Filmon Tsion has not been proven in court. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law..
