Thunder Bay, ON — Thunder Bay Police have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with an assault in the Boulevard Lake area on May 7, 2026. The Major Case Unit became involved in the investigation after the Primary Response unit responded to the initial call.
Officers with the Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) unit located and arrested the male suspect on May 13 at approximately 3:30 p.m. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and appeared in court later that day. The Thunder Bay Police Service continues to encourage anyone with information about ongoing investigations to come forward. Chief Darcy Fleury confirmed that 34-year-old Edward Moore of Thunder Bay faces charges of Assault and Assault Causing Bodily Harm — Choke, Suffocate or Strangle. Police thanked community members for providing information that led to the arrest.
