Thunder Bay, ON — Thunder Bay Police have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with an assault in the Boulevard Lake area that occurred on May 7, 2026. The Major Case Unit joined the investigation after Primary Response officers responded to the initial call about the incident.
Officers from the Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) unit located and arrested the male suspect on May 13 at approximately 3:30 p.m. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and made a court appearance the same day. The Thunder Bay Police Service continues to encourage anyone with information about ongoing investigations to come forward. Chief Darcy Fleury confirmed that 34-year-old Edward Moore of Thunder Bay faces charges of Assault and Assault Causing Bodily Harm — Choke, Suffocate or Strangle. Police expressed gratitude to community members who provided information leading to the arrest.
