Following a report, investigators identified and located a suspect, executing a search warrant at a north-end residence on February 25, 2026, where electronic devices and a vehicle were seized. On March 12, 2026, 28-year-old Matthew Stewart of Thunder Bay was arrested by the Break Enter Armed Robbery Unit and is facing multiple charges including luring a person under 18 years of age, sexual interference, and multiple counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age. Police believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
