The Central Avenue Growth Lands effort covers 40 hectares of land between Golf Links Road and Balmoral Street. With fresh infrastructure investments backstopped by significant Provincial investment, this area will soon be ready for residential progress and economic growth opportunities.

This effort is part of the City’s plan to address the housing crisis, supporting the goal of adding 2,200 latest homes by 2031. The Central Avenue Evolution Lands will provide a mix of housing options, including missing middle and multi-unit developments. Residents can fill out a survey at thunderbay.ca/getinvolved through end of day on June 19. A Public Open House was held on May 27, and a second open house will present the Preferred Evolution Plan for additional feedback before going to City of Thunder Bay Council..
