📍 Sleeping Giant Brewing Company to Close Its Doors After Nearly 14 Years in Thunder Bay

After nearly 14 years of brewing, laughing, and sharing pints on the shores of Lake Superior, Sleeping Giant Brewing Company has announced it will close its doors at the end of March 2026. Founded in 2012, the brewery quickly became a catalyst for the region’s craft beer culture, growing from home brewing experiments in a kitchen into one of the North’s most recognized craft breweries. The decision comes amid rising costs and shifting consumer habits. Co-founders Kyle and Drea Mulligan say the brewery will remain open through March for a month of community celebration.

The story has captured the attention of residents throughout the Thunder Bay area, with community members closely monitoring developments as they unfold in the coming days and weeks ahead.

“This is a significant development for our community,” said a local official. “We encourage all Thunder Bay residents to stay informed and engaged with local news.”
