The inaugural Thunder Bay Police Service Charity Gala has raised $68,502.50 for two local organizations — the Special Olympics Thunder Bay and the Boys and Girls Club of Thunder Bay. More than 270 guests attended the February 28 event, which honoured service members while strengthening community bonds. Thunder Bay Police Chief Darcy Fleury called the night a celebration of the community, with sponsors including RBC, Motorola, and Acadia Broadcasting supporting the cause.
